Tuarrah – Rhinebeck
These Sunday Moments begin gently with a pleasant little female voice. Tuarrah is a band from Brooklyn. And the least we can say is that Julia’s voice is comfortable in every key. She moves from one octave to another with disconcerting ease. The chorus is more than captivating, and we listened to it non-stop for a good half hour! We appreciate the hushed atmosphere, the discreet yet sufficient percussion, and the very relaxed vibe the track offers, with an electric guitar skillfully woven between two successful vocal harmonies. It’s reminiscent of Mike Oldfield a few decades ago. The track benefits from meticulous production, as the band includes a sound engineer who is clearly very talented! There’s perhaps only one thing to criticize about this track: it’s almost too short! We would have liked another minute or two to develop the mystical aspect. But it’s already very good! Taken from the album “Lying on Our Back”, which will be released in February 2020. Available on all listening platforms.
