Julianne Q & The Band – Under The Knife

The ultimate emotional rollercoaster. That’s what awaits you in this track by Julianne Q. Because it builds gradually, slowly, until it hits you full force, and it feels good!

Julianne tells us that she grew up in a very Catholic family, and her views on sexuality and emotions were quite conservative, sometimes involving a lot of modesty and even guilt.

So she imagined what it would be like to take a knife and search beneath her skin for the darkest side of her personality, just for one night, to go clubbing and do things with boys that she would never have dared to do before.

“What if I were that version of myself who takes romantic and sexual risks and doesn’t care about the consequences?” she tells us.

“What if I were that girl who came home from a club with a stranger without feeling an ounce of guilt?”

“Under The Knife” therefore explores the artist’s darker side, and offers us a powerful track, both vocally and musically.

A rather original writing theme that we had never seen before.

A real success.
