Follow Ember Oceans
Ember Oceans has been making waves in Chicago’s indie rock scene for almost four years now, and they can be proud of their unique style. In the beginning, they played small venues and tried to play as loud and energetic as possible to grab the crowd’s attention. But as they continued to write new songs and play to increasingly larger audiences, they discovered different ways to capture people’s imaginations.
They called this song “Spearmint” because they wanted it to be as fresh as that flavor (“Spearmint” is spearmint), and the single’s cover art is an invitation to listen to the track in the car with the windows down. The song has this fun vibe that makes you want to take a drive with stunning views and listen to it on repeat. They put a lot of thought into this during the recording, and you can definitely hear it. Because that’s exactly what you want to do!
The atmosphere is really nice and invites us to relax.
From an artistic standpoint, everything is there: the melody is catchy and sticks in our heads, and the singer’s voice is capable of some pretty high and very pleasant flourishes.
Discover it now and share it, and it’s included in our “Need To Escape” compilation on YouTube And Spotify.
