We’re heading to Nashville again for our last musical trip of the year before our annual break and return in early February (yes, the holiday season and January are so quiet at this time of year that we won’t have much to share with you). So let’s make the most of it and end 2018 on a high note with FemkePerforming entirely acoustically, the artist delivers an almost stripped-down performance. A calm, composed voice offers a simple yet powerful delivery.
The artist shared with us the genesis of this fantastic piece:With this title, Stranger, you sometimes find yourself in a hotel room in the middle of nowhere with a string of lights and a bottle of wine, and you wonder why on earth you started this trip. [en tant qu’artiste]So, this song was born in one of those hotel rooms, with a guitar and a bottle of wine, and a lot of self-pity. There’s also a lot of sarcasm in it; we all feel down and alone sometimes. When it’s like that, you wallow in that state of mind until you just have to get up and start again.“
Start again. It’s on this note of optimism that we invite you to begin the musical journey again, starting in early February 2019 with new discoveries and a new name: Indie Music Center.
