No special effects on the vocals, no synthesizers, no repetitive rhythmic loops. There’s no trace of industrial influence in what you’re about to hear today from Carla D’Amore.
Hailing from Denmark, the singer delivers a performance filled with simplicity and sincerity. “Home” speaks of the weight that this word can carry.
“How we feel in what we call our home defines us in one way or another? Yet, our home is constantly evolving and adapting, just like us, to the passing of time. Our home can be a person, a belief, a memory,” Carla tells us.
The video reflects the artist’s simplicity. Alone in the woods, with a guitar and her hair blowing in the wind. Just a guitar and a voice. That’s enough to transport us into her incredible world. Her soaring vocals are simply magnificent.
The piece takes the form of a dizzying ascent, it builds crescendo, until a finale that perfectly lives up to our expectations.
This is music in its natural, real form. These six minutes went by very quickly, and we want more.
Thank you Carla!
