A touch of sweetness is on the menu for this encounter with Anson Seabra. His name might not ring a bell, but his music is going viral, to the point that his YouTube channel is nearing 200,000 subscribers. Encouraging!
It didn’t take much for us to succumb to his world, through this piano-vocal ballad: “I hope you know that it’s not always joyful in my head,” he tells us in the first verse.
But he “does his best” as he hammers home in the chorus.
An attractive melody that sticks in your head, and above all: restraint.
No need for soaring vocals, no need for an epic finale. Her voice alone is enough to convey the range of emotions we were expecting.
All this is accompanied by a simple and elegant black and white video, which delivers the lyrics using placards manipulated by ordinary people, like you and me.
A delicate, meticulously crafted and refined universe, for a promising artist.
A gem to discover in our Spotify playlist “December 2019“.
