Follow Sven Ross
We no longer need to introduce the Dutch artist Sven Ross, who is part of the IMC Family and has managed to win us over with every release for the past two years. His new single, released on October 25, raises the bar even higher in terms of quality.
Yes, from the very first listen, we are struck by his high-pitched voice in the chorus. Sven Ross hadn’t accustomed us to such high notes, and it’s a real pleasure to hear him in this range! A very pleasant surprise. But what truly captivates is the incredible atmosphere of the track, with the electric guitar playing a major role. Present from the intro, it’s an instrument that doesn’t usually accompany Sven Ross’s world, but it quickly grabs the listener’s attention in this song, with a few subtle reminders here and there.
Sven shared with us that he originally wrote this song for his girlfriend, a little over two years ago, but eventually realized that, in fact, it was a letter to himself! This idea never left his mind, and that’s how this masterpiece finally came to light. As we were so thrilled to reconnect with Sven, we listened to his entire discography again from the beginning. First, because we love him deeply. But most of all, to confirm something, and indeed: “Life Gets Blurry in a Rush” is truly his most beautiful song to date.
And it’s clear that this song had to be in the very first position of our very first mixtape, and had to be the very first article of our very first magazine. We couldn’t start such an ambitious new project with a song that wasn’t up to the task. With this one, we’re beyond satisfied.
Sven Ross’s take on “Life Gets Blurry in a Rush”
I initially wrote it for my girlfriend at the time, a little over two years ago. I later realized it was a letter to myself. It might have been too confronting to acknowledge this while writing the song. I believe this is the reason it became one that grew on me over time.
