The lyrics tells us about communication and sharing, as the duo told us: "We are taught very early on that actions speak louder than words, and we also learn that there are certain things we just don’t talk about. It seems that too often a rash or harmful action is not accompanied by any kind of discourse. If anything, we are taught to be ashamed of our feelings that might be unacceptable in the mainstream. In some ways the simple overture of real communication can make a difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s a friend in need, an estranged lover, or a perfect stranger, real communication matters."
