Matt Davis’s first appearance on our blog. And a successful first time. The intro immediately sets the mood and creates a hushed atmosphere. His voice is unlike any other and truly original.
Once he gets to the chorus, Matt changes everything. We’re suddenly in a funky atmosphere reminiscent of Bruno Mars. Except Matt’s vocal talents go even further. The second verse returns to a calmer vibe. This guy knows how to handle mood changes with disconcerting ease. It’s like having two songs in one.
In any case, the overall feeling is warm and you want to listen to a whole album, it puts you in such a good mood.
Lyrically, he tells the young lady he’d love to fall “Head Over Heels” with her. A literal translation would be “head over heels.” No one knows if it’s actually a daring proposition, but we like it.
Joyful, playful, and fresh. No, actually, we don’t just like it. We love it.
