Lapwings They come to us from Germany, and Berlin more specifically. It’s rare enough to be worth mentioning. Our neighbors always have excellent productions to offer us. Some recent examples, remember… Into The Fray (Stuttgart) on March 8th, Hannah & Flaco (Wu?rzburg) on January 28, Luutzen (Berlin) on November 22And our dear Germans all have one thing in common: their talent for creating magnificent music videos. Lapwings This is therefore no exception, since the video for “Masquerade” is very well made. It perfectly matches the sound. The song was recorded in the same studio as Nick Cave and Korn. A big challenge, then, for Lapwings…to pay homage to such a legendary place. The track follows a structure we love on Music For Your Heart: a crescendo, until emotion becomes the song’s driving force. It definitely gives us goosebumps. Natasha’s cello solo is breathtaking. The guitar part that immediately follows is delightful. A special mention to Kla Ri, who plays the drums superbly. It’s rare to have a female drummer in a band. Marco on bass is the perfect finishing touch. And the finale reveals all the power and emotion the singer’s voice can deliver. Lapwings is a UFO. There are no other groups like them. It leaves a very strong impression, and you realize it was too short, even though the track is already 5:33 long. Now we’re going to need an album. The single is already available on all digital platformsIncluded in our new playlist “Indie Pop“on Spotify.
