Follow Jackson Howard
We started the month of February with Jackson Howard, and the very surprising “Oh Kathryn“And it would seem that we’re going to end the month of February with him too!
Still taken from the same album, “New Day Begun“, Jackson offers us this time “Don’t Act“, in a style completely different from his last appearance on Indie Music Center.
More laid-back and calmer, the piece is an invitation to relax.
One of the first songs written on the piano by our new favorite artist, and whose genesis he tells us about:Written quickly after a difficult conversation that cemented the beginning of the end of a long relationship, this was one of the first songs I wrote on the piano. I sent the piano and vocal tracks to a longtime friend, Andre DiMuzio, who arranged and orchestrated the song, transforming it from a quiet lament into a well-constructed emotional catharsis.“.
And the collaboration has given the wonderful result you hear today: a captivating, warm melody that supports beautifully controlled vocals, with lovely little flights in the high notes, and a perfectly polished production.
This album definitely has a lot of wonderful things to offer us!
And a second title in our February 2020 Spotify playlist for Jackson Howard!
