Timothy – Pendine

We begin our world tour of this Friday’s releases in Sweden. It’s impossible to tell you who Timothy sounds like because he has his own musical identity and his own universe. A significant advantage. His voice is comfortable, very poised, and speaks to us about appearances, which are often deceiving, as we know. In fact, that’s what the artist told us:This song evokes the concept of a utopia. A foreign place you long to share with someone, hence the title “Pendine.” It’s my vision of that perfect romantic ideal; however, as we all know, this vision is often deceptive. The song speaks of a relationship where you’re trapped in your own feelings but blind to the other person. The song is full of heartbreak from a lost relationship, misjudgments, and emptiness, all while wishing for a better place and hoping to have the right person by your side. It’s as if this song wrote itself; it’s been on my mind for a while. Like releasing that hidden gem you’ve kept in your closet for some time, and now I’m happy to share it with the world. And we’re thrilled to have discovered it. Although rather melancholic overall, this gem boasts a beautifully structured crescendo, culminating in a powerfully emotional finale. We simply couldn’t pass it up and deprive you of it.
