Dave Connis – When We Reach the City

In our “Need an Escape” section, we couldn’t have found a better track than “When You Reach the City.” Dave Connis offers us this ballad from his new album “Looking For Eden.”

A wealth of different emotions awaits in this piece, where the music seamlessly transitions from one voice to another, from one atmosphere to another, all within a hushed, soothing, and warm ambiance. Just the thing to ease the transition into autumn.

Just a simple, unassuming acoustic guitar at first, and a gradual build-up of emotion, until the voices intertwine in beautiful harmony, and Dave leads us smoothly to a comfortable finale. It goes a little further, but not too far. Just the right amount. And that’s what we love.
