Follow Camera Thief
Wow, it must be years since we’ve heard a sound like that! It’s a real pleasure to hear real indie-rock sound: powerful, emotional, and high quality.
Camera Thief is a group of five friends from Philadelphia: Pasquale DeFazio, Brendan Duffey, Robert DeFazio, Joe Hartnett and Joe Duffey.
Normally, we were supposed to write about the song “Modern Fiction“, which was sent to us by the band. We loved it. From beginning to end, from the first note to the last. Everything is perfectly in place, a true masterpiece.
A very strong vocal identity, as good as Kings Of Leon or Stereophonics, a real voice, which can be recognized among thousands. A truly distinctive vocal signature, then, which gives the group a real advantage over all the others… And that’s not all. You’ll find that the melody is very well-crafted, and just as emotionally charged as the lyrics.
So, with such a combination of good news, we wanted to listen to more.
The song is taken from the album “The War Parade“, which has just been released. So we listened to the second one, “Starting Fires“And BAM! Another slap in the face!” Incredible track, full of energy, power, rousing choruses, and above all… full of strong emotions, with an epic finale!
So after that second blow, we wanted even more and ended up listening to the whole album on repeat!
