[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW]

Brody Blackburn is back on Music For Your Heart, after a first notable appearance with “Silhouette” (currently in the top 20 most read articles on our blog).

We are delighted that Brody has offered us a new single.

Every day, through our articles and playlists, we try to create a unique universe for you, our readers, where talented artists from all over the world come together, and to create a community.

We are proud to be able to count on loyal artists who offer quality content to our readers.

This new track, “The Monsters of Me”, starts with a piano melody, which is subsequently reinforced by a truly impressive orchestration, and a surge of emotions.

Brody confided in us the secret behind the writing of this musical marvel.

“I wrote this song when I was much younger. At that time, I was working through the emotions of several failed relationships. Each verse represents a different emotional state. In the first verse, there’s a reference to the color green. Green represents a feeling of happiness and fertility. It’s new and fun. In the second verse, the color gray dominates, like a cloudy sky; gray represents feelings of depression and loss. The final verse describes a moment when I had a flashback, or a dream full of remorse and nostalgia for the good times that person had given me..”

A colourful song, then, where calm and composed verses rub shoulders with powerful and dynamic choruses, where the artist leaves nothing to chance.

Musically, it works. You get caught up in it without too much difficulty.

Oh yes, by the way. We found just one flaw in this song: it’s too short.
