When we heard this track for the first time, we had one wild thought: “Wait… are bangers like this even allowed to exist?”. Turns out, yes. Very much so. You know, the kind of banger that grabs you in five seconds and has you halfway up on your chair by the 40-second mark? Yeah, that one. Don’t worry, we don’t do that anymore. We’re too old and our knees said no. But still. The urge is real.

Booshle G is from South Africa, and no joke about the title here, but it really feels like he’s living his Best Life right now. Just signed to Nettwerk, which also happens to be our favourite label. The song hits hard with fantastic lyrics, a melody that sticks like glue, and production that really wants you to stop thinking and start dancing. Strong harmonies, some solid “oh oh”s, a tempo that doesn’t mess around: everything’s in place. This one’s a serious indie-pop contender for 2025. You’ve been warned.

This song is about that moment when you stop hiding. When you stop trying to be someone else. When you finally say “this is me” and mean it, you obtain that kind of masterpiece that is definitely made to stay and may join our “Best Indie Songs Ever” playlist in a few months, who knows?!

Booshle G.’s take on “Best Life”

For years, I didn’t understand what people saw in me. I kept trying to find my place, fitting into boxes that never really worked for me. The more I tried, the more it felt off. My dad used to tell me not to compare myself to anyone, that my path was mine alone, and that maybe I should just give myself a chance. I didn’t listen. Not right away. But at some point, something shifted. Not a big moment with fireworks or some dramatic breakthrough. Just a quiet voice inside that said, “Stop waiting. Do it your way. Do it now.”
