Toledo isn’t just an outdated car brand. No, it’s also the name of a superb indie folk band from Boston, who are delighting us today with their song “Hesperus”.
A true invitation to travel and relaxation, or even to letting go, the song takes us from the first to the last second into a very professional, well-crafted, and elaborate folk universe, where the instruments coexist with great care and delicacy.
Vocally, it’s a dream. We couldn’t dream of a better voice for this song.
A folk ballad that seems peaceful at first glance, but ends in a triumphant finale, just as we like it, with an explosion of musical sensations and very successful musical flights of fancy.
Then an abrupt drop, towards almost absolute calm, ending on a note of relaxation.
A little over 4 minutes of pure pleasure, to be enjoyed with headphones, if possible.
Find it in our playlist “Need To Escape“on Spotify.
