Dawson Carroll – Numb

It’s quite rare, but it can happen: today, we only have one song to offer you for our Sunday Moments. It’s true that we have to be very selective, because one thing is paramount: respecting our concept and, above all, our commitment to you, to offer you emotions and thrills. So sometimes we have to be uncompromising on quality, that’s true. The only one left for this Sunday, then, Dawson CarrollWith a catchy melody and a powerful chorus, the artist, a graduate of Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music, tackles a sensitive subject: depression and mental health issues. It’s a subject handled with mastery and perfect execution in this laid-back and relaxing track. Hard to believe, but Dawson was originally part of a hardcore band. After the band broke up, he immersed himself in the world of Bob Dylan and other folk artists, and began working on his own songs. We can only applaud this excellent decision. “Numb” is a true Sunday treat.
