Our thoughts about the song :

Irishman Tiz McNamara is back with his new single "See Ya Soon". An artist that we introduced you to in April with "April Fool", a very beautiful indie-folk ballad. This new track really surprised, moved, touched us. Indeed, it goes from an indie folk ballad to an explosion of emotions in the final part, which tends more towards indie-rock. A real change of course, which we were not prepared for, and which acts like a slap. In a positive way of course, as the song easily lifts our arm hairs straight up. With moving lyrics, carefully written, the artist unleashes all his emotional power, his incomparable voice and his sincerity in this song, where folk and rock universes come together. Tiz touches us. Second visit to Indie Music Center, and probably not the last. Included in our "Indie Folk Gems" playlist. You can find this playlist on : Spotify / Soundcloud / Youtube

Tiz McNamara's point of view :

The song was written while struggling through a tough time and feeling imposter syndrome. For me the song represents the different versions of ourself or relationships we go through. Some days we're down and possibly feeling inadequate, other days we feel ready to take on anything. I was lucky enough to record it with incredible irish musicians that make up the band Rowan.

Tiz McNamara is an Irish singer songwriter and drummer who has racked up over 9.5 Million streams on Spotify with his independent releases. Before his first birthday, Tiz lost his father and two brothers in tragic accidents which have shaped his debut EP dedicated to his father and brothers who’s anniversary falls on the release date. Originally a drummer since the age of 3 Tiz went on to study a music degree course in the prestigious Liverpool institute for Performing Arts. In his second year at LIPA, Tiz narrowly avoided having his foot amputated after a Piano fell on it, but the injury was so severe it forced him to swap his drums for a guitar in order to continue on the course. Shortly after changing instruments Tiz took up singing and began to write his own songs including his first ever penned tune ‘Falling Asleep’ which appears on this debut EP ‘April Fool’. McNamara’s songs have featured on UK TV shows ‘Hollyoaks’ and 'Emmerdale' as well as gaining support from some of the industry’s heavy weights including BBC Radio 2, Amazing Radio and NME. Tiz has toured with BRITS ‘Critics Choice Winner’ James Bay. The Irishman was delighted to be asked to sing alongside one of his musical heroes Sir. Paul McCartney, as well as Robbie Williams, and Shane McGowan under the name 'The Justice Collective'.
