Maybe the name Steven Reid Williams doesn't ring a bell. And yet, without knowing it, you may have heard his work before.
Indeed, the artist who comes from Stroud (not very far from Gloucester, England), was the session pianist of a rather impressive list of stars: Leo Sayer, Paul Young, Nadine Coyle, Lulu, Melanie C, and The Overtones.
His next album, "Hearts and Stones", made from originals, will be out soon, and "Fallen" is a great preview of it.
If you like big awesome voices, much like Rag'n'Bone Man or JJ from Kaleo, you're going to fall in love with Steven's voice.
Indeed, his stunning voice pierces the darkness and the somber atmosphere of "Fallen", a song where the artist describes his discomfort.
The production quality is absolutely incredible, and we find ourselves absorbed in a very powerful emotional universe, between piano and frenzied electric guitar.
Between blues and soul, with a surprising vocal power but perfectly mastered, Steven moved us and gave us the chills we expected. We are impatiently awaiting the album because we know that our heart needs it.
Like an introspective journey to the heart of our old demons, "Fallen" is a jewel of poetry and suffering which will not leave you indifferent.
Added to our Main Spotify Playlist, our "Feeling Lost" playlist, and played daily on Indie Music Center's Radio.

Lyrics
Trying to find a path to Elysium
But it’s bringing me down
I’m already on holy ground
Because I want to be the rhyme and the reason
Not some circus clown
You keep bringing me round
Love is patient and love is kind
But first you’ve got a debt you need to pay on time
Well I’m thinking that something is wrong
So I’m fallen
‘Cause heaven don’t want me like you do
It’s the price that I’ll pay to be near you
I’d rather be earthbound
So I’m fallen
‘Cause if I’ve got to be part of forever
It means nothing if we ain’t together
I’d rather be earthbound
If there’s an angel looking over my shoulder
Then she’s jealous of you
And all the things that you can do
There’s a break in the clouds when I hold you
And if they only knew
We’ve got the light and the dark too
Love is patient and love is kind
But you’ve got to play the rules and leave yourself behind
I’m still thinking that something is wrong
So I’m fallen
‘Cause heaven don’t want me like you do
It’s the price that I’ll pay to be near you
I’d rather be earthbound
So I’m fallen
‘Cause if I’ve got to be part of forever
It means nothing if we ain’t together
I’d rather be earthbound
Glory
I don’t believe a word that they told me
You’ve got to write your own story
And let the spirits fly
So I’m fallen
‘Cause heaven don’t want me like you do
It’s the price that I’ll pay to be near you
I’d rather be earthbound
So I’m fallen
‘Cause if I’ve got to be part of forever
It means nothing if we ain’t together
I’d rather be earthbound
Don't worry about me
I’d rather be earthbound
I’d rather be earthbound
