On March 26th, we introduced you to Mark Houston with "Whispers In The Dark", an uplifting and powerful indie rock track. It is in a totally different atmosphere that we find him for his new single "All the Mornings", released today.
Much calmer, this new track is an auditory wonder and a very nice surprise.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where your romantic relationship deteriorates over time? This kind of situation where you know that you can still count on the person, even if it is not the same as at the beginning. The magic slowly faded but the confidence remained. This sometimes causes tons of questions that go round in our heads. This is a bit the subject of this song, full of nostalgia and poetry, in which Mark confides his doubts and fears.
What we liked above all is the originality of the melody, carried by many organic instruments such as the acoustic guitar, the piano, and even the xylophone. We must admit that we do not hear enough this instrument in modern music and it's a shame because it brings a little touch of originality and as you can hear it here, fits perfectly into contemporary production.
Mark has set the bar very high for quality again, and there is no doubt that his debut album which comes out in July will be a success. This is the fifth single from this album, and Mark has already racked up over 50K streams with the 4 previous singles on Spotify. Which is a great start and bodes well for the album.
A final single is slated for June, and Mark can be confident about what will happen next. His hard work and very high level of quality will pay off in the end.
Added to our Main Spotify Playlist, our "Feeling Lost" playlist, and played daily on Indie Music Center's Radio.

Lyrics
I never dreamed that I would be the one you'd listen to
When the nights grow old, and the sun comes up again
Telling stories in the dark of days we've wandered far
And the places we felt so alone
So won't you take me there and make the memories fade
As I turn the other page
Here's to all the mornings I wake not knowing who I am
Pain only comes in waves, that's what you say
Cause when I'm feeling hopeless, cold, and afraid
You stand up for me
It's so much easier to see what I don't want to be in the light of your eyes
So don't you turn away
You know I'm not really known for putting words to feelings
But with you I feel no need
So won't you take me there and make the ghosts in the hallway fade
As I turn to walk away
Because I don't know what I'd do without your love
On the day of the dark parade
Here's to all the mornings I wake not knowing who I am
Drifting far beyond the waves, that's where we'll stay
Cause when I'm feeling hopeless, cold, and afraid
You stand up
Oh you stand up for me
