And you, where were you and what were you doing when you were 18? We all have memories of this period, more or less far behind us depending on how old we are today.

That's the whole point of Lisa Heller's new single, released last Friday. A song that is full of images and nostalgia, in which the artist recounts some memories that seem very distant.

As always, our singer from L.A. has put all her heart and all her sincerity into this song. It's honest and genuine, that's what we've loved about Lisa for all these years. Her first appearance on IMC dates back to 2017.

With her piano-vocal ballads, each time she succeeds in giving us what we are looking for: the chills. It works every time. Yes, we can say that it is systematic with Lisa.

Her human side and sometimes, it must be admitted, a little magic side will always disconcert us.

"18" allowed us to take a trip down memory lane. For us, that meant listening to Avril Lavigne with full sound in our teenage room and setting up tents in the garden to have fun with friends for a week, while having sleepless nights watching the rains of shooting Stars.

Everyone has their memories, and if this song spoke to us, it will speak to you too.

Finally, we will conclude by welcoming Lisa to the "IMC Certified Artists". Indeed, with "18", she won her 5th feature on IMC and we welcome her with pleasure in this wonderful group, which gives birth to beautiful collaborations (just like last Friday) and incredible human and artistic encounters.

Thank you, Lisa, already 4 years that your melodies accompany us, and we can not wait to discover the following ones.

Added to our Main Spotify Playlist, plus our "IMC Certified Artists" Spotify playlist, and played daily on Indie Music Center's Radio.

Lyrics

Empty playground,
Swings just sway now
They barely make a sound
It’s coming back now
Chasing sundown
Through the streets of our hometown

We used to skip stones and roll the dice
We used to run fast and seek and hide
Way back when

We were eighteen with fake ID’s
Getting drunk on the merry-go-round
Wearing ripped jeans and 90’s tees
Never thought we’d have to slow down
on the merry-go-round
The merry-go-round

Found our names in the faded pavement
Can barely read um now
As we grew taller
Our shadows longer
Can almost see um now

We used to skip stones and roll the dice
We used to run fast and seek and hide
Way back when

We were eighteen with fake ID’s
Getting drunk on the merry-go-round
Wearing ripped jeans and 90’s tees
Never thought we’d have to slow down
on the merry-go-round
The merry-go-round

I’m spinning around in pirouettes
Dancing along to our old hits
Those were the good times
No time for goodbyes
Running around with no regrets
Can’t get it back but I won’t forget
Those were the good times
I guess it goodbye

Eighteen with fake ID’s getting drunk on the merry-go-round
