Eric Dash - Please Don't Be Far

December 17, 2020

I repeat myself, but quality matters more than quantity. And that's why I immediately hooked up with this artist. Eric realized that he was deviating from his original path, wanting to try other musical genres. He finally preferred to go back to his roots, even if it meant being "less popular". But he takes pleasure in his music and in this musical genre, and it can be heard! We all fall, sometimes, and it's good to be able to hang on to the basics: people who love us. "Please Don't Be Far" is a cry for hope where the artist says he may not be ready for the stage lights, and asks those close to him not to stray too far. Touching lyrics, delivered by a perfectly controlled voice, all on a magnificent melody. What more? This song perfectly fits my vision of things in general, and for me, Eric Dash is a beautiful meeting. And you will, for sure see him again soon at IMC.

Included in our "Indie Folk" playlist, and of course, you will now hear this amazing track on the Indie Music Radio.

Eric Dash's point of view :

It is the real me. I used to work with Jack Joseph Puig and I got off track with the speed of music changing. I got lost and tried a lot of different things. But now I'm back doing what I do despite it not being popular. It's about me living a hard life and going back to family and friends if it doesn't work out in music and I hope they're there to support me.
