November Me’s Story

2734 views They started writing poems when They were thirteen of fourteen. At that time They began carrying notebooks with them all the time, writing down lyrical ideals and observations on a daily basis, and also made their first attempts of playing with words in rap music (German Hip-Hop was very popular at that time). In the same years, They discovered Eric Clapton's MTV Unplugged record, and started to learn guitarplaying. In this instrument and their first shy tries of singing They soon found a very comforting place and a form of self-expression. After discovering classical music as well as 60s and 70s bands at that time the 2000s made them stumble upon more contemporary heroes: Ahead their favourite lyricist of all time, Conor Oberst and his Bright Eyes stuff, but also Damien Rice, Elbow, The National, Turin Brakes. (Oh, and the early Coldplay. Despite their very pop-ish latest works these beautiful first two records really made them want to become a musician.) While studying (something with economics that didn't mean too much to them) some friends and them founded the Indie band "Fugitive Dancer". That band became their dream place to live their adolescent fantasies of desireful dark indie pop. After the band had fallen apart in 2014, Sebastian They put their remaining creative unrest into a new musical journey, calling themselves November Them then. In 2015 their first solo EP under that moniker "Don't Believe the Tide" saw the light of day.
