Dan Olsen’s Story
Before trading his boots for the studio, Dan was a high-level footballer, representing his club in Champions League qualification and capping his sports career with a 1-1 draw against Denmark for the Faroe Islands U21 national team.
Always chasing new adventures, Dan hung up his kit and moved to Australia to complete a business degree, spending his nights performing in local bars. After graduation, he took a gamble: selling his guitar to fund the move, he packed a bag full of demos and relocated from Sydney to London. One of those tracks, "Here With Me" - written on a balcony in a crowded, illegal flat shared with 11 backpackers - became his breakthrough. Co-produced by himself and Steven A. Williams (Eric Clapton, Sting), the song hit the Spotify Top 50 and quickly amassed over a million streams.
A true craftsman, Dan continues to write, produce, mix and master the majority of his releases, maintaining a singular, "unfiltered" creative vision while simultaneously writing for others and landing sync placements. And since catching the attention of Sam Smith’s former manager, Dan has toured Europe, China, the US, Russia, and South Africa. Now signed to the world’s biggest independent publisher, Peermusic, he has won international songwriting competitions and collaborated with industry heavyweights including Linda Perry (Adele, Ariana Grande), Braison Cyrus (Noah Cyrus), Sons of Sonix (Justin Bieber), New Haven (Imagine Dragons), Julian Simmons (Ed Sheeran), and Sonique.
