Axe & the Ivory

Axe & the Ivory’s Story

Indie-folk band, Axe & the Ivory, is comprised of a bunch of best mates who grew up playing music together. Described as a songwriting force, they’ve had festival appearances at Woodford Folk Festival, Cygnet Folk Festival, Wingham Music Festival and GumBall Festival. For fans of the Gregory Alan Isakov, Anais Mitchell and the Paper Kites, they’ll instantly capture your attention with two lead vocalists, enchanting harmonies and intricate guitar and banjo melodies. Band members include Ben Lovell (guitar, vocals), Rosie Roberts (guitar, keys, vocals), Paul Cooper (banjo), Mark Oosterveld (bass, vocals) and James Lovell (drums, vocals). They've just finished their first mini tour on the east coast of Australia and will be releasing their first album in late 2025.
