Follow Matt Westerman
This is Matt Westerman’s second appearance on Music For Your Heart. He is the first to have this privilege.
“She’s More” is a full-fledged declaration of love. “I always feel awake when I’m with her” and “I love the way the sun shines on her” are perfect examples that demonstrate he’s completely smitten. We’ll let you discover the rest, of course!
Matt told us that it was a song about being very grateful to someone, and all the love they can bring into our lives.
He also tells us that music generally puts him in a good mood. When he wrote his EP, he was feeling rather sad, but writing songs helped him lift his spirits, a bit like therapy.
Many artists have this escape route. And it works.
A good idea would be to close all the psychiatrists’ offices in the world, and for us all to start making music.
