Ronni Mardor’s Story
Featuring quirky illustrative language and dynamic vocal performance, Ronni Mardor is a theatrical folk pop Israeli-American songwriter.
Born and raised in Israel, at 22 Ronni made the decision to move to one of the world’s biggest music & culture capitals – London, UK. The O2 Academy Islington, Paper Dress Vintage and Nambucca are only a few of London's top venues where Ronni performed at in the last 4 years, while studying at ICMP. Ronni went on her first international tour in April 2019, in which she performed around southern Italy with Mauro Massari. The tour lead to their second tour together, ‘Sad Songs Comedy’ that took place in July 2019.
Bjork, Regina Spektor, Sara Bareilles & Amanda Palmer are some of Ronni’s main influences, as can be detected in Ronni’s approach to lyrics and the world of song writing as a whole.
‘After May’, Ronni’s debut single, is an honest, quirky and vibrant song, which joyfully presents what happens when love, theatre and reality meet. The lyrical dissonance with the ongoing hinted smile creates engagement and light-hearted satisfaction, while discussing the painful matter of heartbreak.
