Marissa Barbalato’s Story
Marissa Barbalato is an independent LA based artist originally from Buffalo, NY. Pulling from folk-pop/ chamber pop vibes, Marissa hits a unique corner of vocal ability that gives you a sense of Florence meets Stevie Nicks, and Maggie Rogers. After making local waves through the live music scene in LA, Marissa has released multiple singles with her debut EP dropping summer of 2020. Her first single “Religion” established her as a vocal powerhouse and set the tone for subsequent releases including "Somewhere in the Middle" and "Desert". After starting out in coffee shops and bars around Hollywood 5 years ago, Marissa made her way to larger venues, The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, the Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA and The Peppermint Club.
