Sean Koch

Sean Koch’s Story

From a small surf village on the outskirts of Cape Town, Sean Koch has carved out a globally resonant sound rooted in saltwater, sunshine and soul. Blending laid-back surf-folk with introspective lyricism and feel-good rhythms, his music carries the warmth of the ocean and the depth of personal growth.

Sean first broke through with his breakout single “Lift You Up”, which has garnered over 30 million streams worldwide. Fan favourites like “Flow,” “We All Believe,” and “Feel the Energy” have continued to cement his reputation for crafting uplifting, melody-driven songs that balance vulnerability with optimism.

Over the years, he has toured extensively across South Africa, Europe, UK and beyond, sharing stages with international acts such as Sticky Fingers, Xavier Rudd, Milky Chance, Passenger, Gentlemen and Sons of the East — experiences that have shaped his dynamic live presence and broadened his international following.

Now, Sean prepares to release his third full-length studio album, “Time Will Tell”, co-written with longtime bandmate and close friend Adrian Fowler. The project marks a new chapter — sonically richer, lyrically deeper, and reflective of both personal evolution and creative brotherhood.
