The Nautical Theme

The Nautical Theme’s Story

Honest, straightforward songwriting ringing off ivory keys & steel strings. The Nautical Theme is a modern-folk duo featuring the ebb and flow of melody and harmony. Based in Dayton, OH, the duo was formed in March of 2017 by Tesia Mallory (vocals, keys) and Matt Shetler (vocals, guitar). Matt and Tesia love to write, record, perform, and make connections with their original music, classified as modern folk, Americana, and indie-pop.

The Nautical Theme's latest release, "Different Lines", is a single that sees the duo exploring new textures and arrangements. "TNT is a terrific Dayton band that merges voices, melodies, and captivating rhythms as if they knew the secrets of alchemy." - Art Jipson, Your Tuesday Afternoon Alternative

Released on October 11, 2024. Tesia Mallory: vocals, guitar, keys; Matt Shetler: vocals, guitar, bass. Recorded at Ready Shet Go Studio by The Nautical Theme, 2024Mixed by J.
