The Light The Heat - Carry On

November 24, 2020

Our thoughts about the song :

Just two months ago, we presented The Light The Heat with a more than catchy single 'What We've Been Missing', which is still running in our heads! Here they are back with 'Carry On', a folk pop track with a chorus that, we promise, will keep you warm all week. And we found it to be perfect for a Monday, to motivate you in the freshness of Fall. The band still seduces us with an incredibly elaborate production, pushed to the smallest detail (you will notice the trumpet, at the end, quite discreet, but it's the little detail that changes everything). The writing is perfectly mastered, once again. The Light The Heat have become, since their previous single, our new darlings, and besides, we now play six of their songs on Indie Music Radio. Their debut album 'Wide Awake' was released on November 20th and you will also find wonderful ballads there, such as 'Brighter Days' or 'Endless Story'. It's a real pleasure to see them again at Indie Music Center, and you can be sure that it won't be the last time! 'Carry On' is now included in our "Indie Pop" playlist, and of course, you will now hear this amazing track on the Indie Music Radio.

The Light The Heat's point of view :

Carry On was written with the idea of transition and change in mind. It highlights the wonder experienced when stepping into the unknown, and the glow of nostalgia as we move forward without forgetting where we came from

With influences including Paul Simon, Coldplay, Brandon Flowers, Sigur Ros, and Bon Iver, among others, they strive to marry the worlds of groovy ethnic music and ambient soundscapes, weaving genres seamlessly to form a more polished indie folk-pop sound.
