We have to be honest: we no longer believed in it. The last time we saw Raynes on IMC was in April 2020 with "Come My Way". And since ... silence.

So what was our surprise when a new single called "Cast The Bronze" appeared on our Release Radar? A single listening was enough to seduce us.

Because Raynes masters everything, from A to Z: writing, melody, production, creativity, and poetry.

Raynes is an atypical band since it is a transatlantic trio made up of two Americans and a Brit. And that was already the case, long before the pandemic. They've always worked like that, from a distance. So the health situation had no impact on their way of working.

However, it's interesting to note that "Cast The Bronze" is not a new song, as they already played it acoustically for Outdoor Jam Sessions in October 2018:

The vocal harmonies are a little less prominent on the studio version, but the careful production to the smallest detail and the percussions add a new dimension to the track.
