If you're feeling a bit of nostalgia right now, then you'll love the new single from Polar Caps.
We loved everything about this track, from the wonderful vocals to the catchy and captivating melody, not to mention the excellent production quality.
Coming from West London, our artist grew up next to the Chiltern Hills (in the UK too), where there is a haunted house. This is what inspired the song, which evokes memories and events of a period of some thirty years.
With a very cinematic side, it was impossible that "The Hillside" did not benefit from a wonderful music video. Directed and produced by the artist himself, it is a jewel of realization, combining mysticism and imagination with a story of buried treasure. But we're not going to reveal everything, you can watch it below:
Polar Caps is an incredibly gifted artist, and we have a question that keeps going through our heads: why didn't we find out about him sooner?
A little tour on his Spotify allowed us to discover "Circles", his previous single, which is also of exceptional quality. A small click on the "Follow" button only took us half a second. So you know what you have to do.
Added to our Main Spotify Playlist, our "Uplifting Vibes" playlist, and played daily on Indie Music Center's Radio.

Lyrics
Our house was haunted you know
it told us tales of its 20th-century woes
incase we missed the show
the shadows would eventually make themselves known
the forest mist would settle low
on the trees, like a blanket protecting its soul
and our planted seeds forever grow
encapsulating the marks we left after we let go
There’s healing in the hillside
these places that shape us we wear them like a badge of pride
still grieving the home life
but the place that shaped us will remain in our sights
for all our lives
all our lives
This house it had its hold
filling us with the sense that we’d struck woodland gold
when nothing can replace the old
I’ll visit you in my sleep
and revive our household
when there’s…
Healing in the hillside
these places that shape us we wear them like a badge of pride
still grieving the home life
but the place that shaped us will remain in our sights
for all our lives
This house is haunted you know
telling tales of its 20th-century woes
