If you've never heard The Hollow Men before, his music could be described to you quite easily: full of dreams, mystery, magic, and poetry. On this new track released today from our colleagues at AlexrainbirdRecords, the artist has done everything by himself, from writing to production. And the result is quite impressive. Because even if the production is rather simple as a whole, the voice of Dennis, which is exceptional, immediately takes us into his universe, and we don't want to leave it anymore. We have all had times when we were at our lowest point. And especially in this special year ... Going up the slope is never easy, to get back to happiness, and we sometimes have to face our demons to achieve it. The song describes those feelings of inner conflict, between one voice pushing you back up, while the other tries to convince you that it's already lost. A jewel of writing to savor by the fire. The Hollow Men's point of view :
It's about leaving a euphoric state of mind and coming down to a place of sadness and depression… about wishing to get back to positivity while being so low, that you almost forget how it feels to be happy. It has a different vibe to my earlier releases, focusing more on piano than guitar, and is my second (following previous single 'Silence') that's been fully written, performed and mixed solely by myself.

Swedish singer-songwriter Dennis Sjöström is better known as acoustic-pop artist The Hollow Men! Influenced by Passenger and Ben Howard, Dennis has been releasing music since 2016, with alexrainbirdRecords putting out his most recent singles ‘Speak’ and ‘It’s Alright’. Both tracks expanded The Hollow Men’s sound to include more pop instrumentation, and both were included on numerous Spotify editorial playlists (with over 1.3 million combined streams!).
