When I learn of the imminent release of new material from the IMC family, I am always overexcited. Especially when it is the one of them who releases new tracks ... less often! Despite having dozens of originals to offer on his Twitch channel, where he is live 3 to 4 times a week, sometimes for more than 4 hours, Matu hadn't officially released anything for almost a year ("Out of the Mist" was released on October 22nd, 2020). Matu does nothing like the others. And we like its originality.

But I also find these big gaps between releases to be interesting as well. Because it shows that the artist takes his time to come up with something impeccable. And listening to "Burning Garden", we understand then this long silence of Matu on streaming platforms (excluding Twitch of course).

Because the track is simply ... divine! Very worked when it comes to writing, with a lot of metaphors and poetry. The production has also been taken care of down to the smallest detail with the introduction of the violin, which was not until then in the habits of Matu. For those who think it's a bit too flat, and who prefer the electric guitar, also check out "Papercut". This is another song from the "Becoming" EP coming out today. It brings together his first 3 singles as well as these two unreleased tracks.

Yes, Matu takes pleasure in what he does and pays himself the luxury of making a release on a Monday. We told you, and we repeat it to you: Matu does nothing like the others.

This 5-track EP, therefore, includes 5 jewels, which we can only invite you to discover. "Burning Garden" is the very excellence of talent. The artist paints us a sad situation on a luminous painting, with a glimmer of hope, all in a relaxed and light atmosphere, and with disconcerting ease.

Well done Matu, it was worth the time to wait. Continue to make us dream.
