Our thoughts

Some tracks whisper. This one doesn’t. It kicks the door in, grabs you by the collar and yells “CHORUS AT 00:40, LET’S GO.”

"Where The Diamonds Hide" doesn’t waste time. You get two seconds to blink and then boom. Groove, energy, drive. Everything you need to stop doomscrolling and start nodding like a maniac in your kitchen.

It’s a collab we didn’t see coming but now kinda wish had happened sooner. The Rare Occasions with Kylie Rothfield!

Kylie blends in so well, it feels like she’s been part of the band since day one. With a bit more vocal firepower.

The final section is made to be played loud. And we mean the kind of loud that makes you forget you have neighbors. You’ll either start dancing or break something. Possibly both.

The label said it’s somewhere between Two Door Cinema Club and The Killers. And, yeah, that was not PR fluff. That’s actually accurate!

It’s got the bounce, the hooks, the clean guitars, and just enough tension to keep it interesting.

Lyrically, it talks about taking the harder road, missing the obvious answer, chasing meaning where others see nothing. In short, it's relatable as hell.

And the metaphor? Solid. Nature, pressure, hidden treasure. We love a good visual that doesn’t make us roll our eyes!

If your week’s been weird and your brain’s a bit scrambled, this is your musical reset button.

Loud, catchy, bright. But not dumb. Just a banger done right. Now press repeat. And maybe move the coffee table.

Kylie and the band's on "Where The Diamonds Hide"

"The song was co-written and recorded with The Rare Occasions, an indie rock band known for their Platinum certification and Billboard success. You’ll find punchy guitars, stacked vocals that hit like a wave, and warm harmonies that feel just right on a sunny afternoon. My voice blends pretty good with Brian McLaughlin’s, who takes the lead on the second verse."

A bit more about these artists:

Kylie Rothfield is a force to be reckoned with. It’s no wonder her unique, soulful voice caught the ears of Alicia Keys, who described her as “a blossoming, powerful flower with so much heart, so much talent, so much emotion and vocal power”. Kylie is also an accomplished songwriter and guitarist. in 2015, Kylie signed her first publishing deal and has had her songs placed on ABC, NBC, MTV and E! Network.

The Rare Occasions are an LA-based, New England-bred indie rock band known for their explosive garage rock anthems with catchy vocal harmonies. Brian McLaughlin (singer) and Luke Imbusch (drummer) have been making music together since their early teenage years. They formed The Rare Occasions while attending college in Boston where they met Jeremy Cohen (bassist). Since then, the band have toured nationally, won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and released a vast catalog of music online.

Lyrics

I was born as the water was rising
In the wake of the age we knew
Felt the glow of a faded horizon
At the end of a lost pursuit

And it changed when i first realized
I don’t care where the diamonds hide
I’d be lost even if i tried

Oooh
Where the diamonds hide

I could chase everything that i wanted
I could drink all the lies I’m told
But I know that the path i’ve been walking
Wasn’t made to be paved with gold

And it changed when i first realized
I don’t care where the diamonds hide
I’d be lost even if i tried
In the face of the fading light

Oooh
Am i only waiting for the
Moon
Always giving up when it’s too
Soon

Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
Where the diamonds hide
Where the diamonds
