Nottingham not only has one of the UK's finest Council Houses and one of the most wonderful medieval castles of the UK. They also have Drew Thomas. And I am jealous. It's not fair.

If you browse Drew Thomas' Spotify, you are going to find only nuggets. And I swear to you that I am not lying. From the rather 90's vibes of "Vultures", his previous single, to the incredible energy of "Soho", or even the powerful emotions of "Somebody You Needed", you are bound to find something to your liking. It's inevitable.

Because the artist has been working hard for a few years and does everything himself. A true DIY musician who is not afraid to "wet" the t-shirt, as they say in Western Europe.

His melodies are absolutely fabulous and catchy, and his new single "Bohemians" is no exception to this golden rule. With a voice that reminds me of Darren Hayes (Savage Garden), I sometimes have the impression of taking a trip in my childhood memories, in the '90s (as I mentioned above).

But this kind of voice is rather rare these days, and I immediately hooked to his vocal ease. I must say it's quite stunning. He is comfortable in all tones and knows how to dose vocal energy with millimeter precision.

"Bohemians" is the first track from his second EP, on which he is working, and which should be released soon. The song advocates tolerance and acceptance of others as they are:

"Bohemians is a song about finding someone who makes you feel complete and learning to accept their flaws and love them for it. Although it’s not strictly a love song on paper, it’s a song for whenever you’ve found a best friend, a lover or a soulmate that feels addictive to be around. It's about having courage to accept someone's character over their history even when something seems too broken to fix."

I think we all have our scars, and some are indeed impossible to repair. Life is made up of tragedies that ultimately are only its pillars. And we have to live with it.

Heartwarming, the tone of the song is inevitably warm and friendly. Like a friend clapping you on the shoulder and saying "hey, you are perfect the way you are".

The production is absolutely fantastic on this track, and nothing was left to chance. A few notes of acoustic guitar set the pace on the verses, while magnificent vocal harmonies enhance the choruses. And the song becomes more intense, minute after minute. As you know, we really like this kind of construction in crescendo until a final part in fireworks.

I tip my hat to you, young man, you did a great job here! And I can't wait to see the rest!
