Charit Way - Irvington

December 15, 2020

I have to admit that we rarely share Alt Rock. And I can even say... never. But this song has such a high emotional power, it would have been a shame if we missed it! With an incredibly catchy hook on the chorus, this track will probably get stuck in your mind for days. We missed powerful indie rock tracks and we needed to offer something else. Because we all need change actually. And this song really surprised me on various points. Like the wonderful lyrics, carrying a positive message. The vocals reminded me of bands like Simple Plan or Good Charlotte... Good old days from my teenage era. And I love that kind of "come back" feeling on some songs. But this one has something special: while the final chorus is even more powerful, the very end of the song is totally surprising thanks to a unexpected instrument. But I won't tell you which one, and let you discover by yourself.

Included in our "Indie Rock" playlist, and of course, you will now hear this amazing track on the Indie Music Radio.

Charit Way's point of view :

The song was constructed instrumentally first, and we felt we had something really cool as we had been jamming on the verse and chorus ideas for a while. We knew it needed something more and our guitarist, Anthony, came up with the bridge guitar riff out of nowhere one practice. Jeff, our pianist, came up with entirety of the song's lyrics and vocal parts in about a single 20 minute session. The combination of all of this elevated the song into something special that we collectively felt really strongly about. Not to mention the song delivers a very powerful message that feels even more important in today's world.
