The East Pointers - Save Your Lonely

August 31, 2022

The East Pointers are a Prince Edward Island/Ontario-based trio made up of Jake Charron, and cousins Tim Chaisson and Koady Chaisson.

Unfortunately, last January, Koady passed away from an unexpected heart aneurysm at the age of 37, and the band found themselves orphaned by one of their three vocals. Yes, the three-part vocal harmonies are one of The East Pointers' strengths.

Today let's talk about their latest single "Save Your Lonely", which on its verses vocally reminds us of the perfect vocal symbiosis of the Los Angeles duo Limón Limón. But the chorus is an absolute delight, followed by a wonderful, unexpected violin part between the first chorus and the second verse.

The band multiplies the little surprises, like this discreet but essential electric guitar on the second pre-chorus. "Save Your Lonely" is a marvel straddling indie-folk and indie-pop that will have you sing along for a few hours, with very elaborate and worked down to the smallest detail production. The communicative good humor of Koady still floats above this band, which offers us a very qualitative performance, and already prepares us for the arrival of new songs very soon. We wish them good luck in the rest of their journey and we can't wait to hear what's next.
