Sean Koch - Old & Grey

November 15, 2020

Our thoughts about the song :

Right now, we all need lightness. So let's fly to South Africa. We discovered Sean Koch a little over two years ago, with 'Feel The Energy'. A solar track that has been viewed 4,000 times on our website! More recently, the artist and his band released a lyric video for 'Old & Grey', a track released on Nov 6th. It's a wonderful animated video directed by Johanne Friedrich, an artist based in Berlin. Sean Koch has always had the gift of creating light melodies, combined with a unique voice that gives a feeling of complete confidence. On pop rhythms reminiscent of those of Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies, the song tells us the story of a love that will last until the end. There is just a bit of shadow and mystery to be cleared up. What is the little secret Sean Koch is telling us about? Included in our "Indie Pop" playlist, and of course, you will now hear this amazing track on the Indie Music Radio.

Sean Koch's point of view :

'Old & Grey' is an uplifting, feel good tune about showing commitment towards someone through all the ups and downs that come with the constant change that we faced with in this life!

Biography :

Sean is a young, talented musician and songwriter, born in Kommetjie, Cape Town. His music is a fusion of alternative folk, naturally blended into a foot- tapping, fun-loving country surf style. Playing the djembe from an early age taught him the rhythm and beat which subtly speaks through his smooth guitar riffs and softly sung lyrics and it is this fresh and individual sound which has garnered him a rapid breakthrough into the incredibly rich and diverse CT music scene.
