Our thoughts
Do you ever feel like a kid again at certain moments? Don’t worry, it’s normal. There are times when that feeling comes back. Trust us, it happened to us all the way until we were 37! That is, until we became parents ourselves. That’s when the child inside us fades a little, making way for an adult with responsibilities.
But then, when our little one is sleeping peacefully upstairs, we catch ourselves reconnecting with that inner child, because that voice never truly disappears.
This song is about exactly that. About letting the child inside us speak. With a warm voice that feels like a caring aunt, a super catchy melody that sticks in your head for hours, and lyrics that hit home, SONG has everything to love! We absolutely adored it. And if you do too, let your friends know!
Natalie Clark's take on "KID"
When we’re kids, we’re wild and free, and then we forget and grow up. I want to remind the listener, that we still have that joy and freedom in us! We just have to tap into it!
A bit more about Natalie Clark
Natalie Clark's journey from classroom to stage began with a spontaneous singing request from Sir Richard Branson! Her blossoming music career was set in motion, leading her from Scotland to Los Angeles where she has just signed a recording contract for her debut album. Scottish school teacher Natalie Clark learned the power of taking the bull by the horns when her life took a dramatic u-turn one fateful day while attending a BBC Radio 1 Academy event hosted by Nick Grimshaw. Guest speaker Richard Branson spontaneously invited Clark to sing onstage, and, accepting his challenge, she charged her powerhouse vocals and stunned everyone with her original song Weakness. “That was absolutely and utterly stunning”, Branson proclaimed. ”No backing band, no musicians, no forewarning”.
This lesson in carpe diem - and the resulting headlines in the UK - at last set the ball in motion for Natalie Clark’s music career. She left teaching and her hometown in Scotland, and headed to sunny Los Angeles to pursue her musical dreams. Since moving to the States, Natalie has opened festivals, toured the country, and was selected as a Mercedes Benz KTLA "Artist to Watch”. Natalie was featured in the Mercedes Benz commercial campaign, which included performances at the famous Roxy on Sunset, and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. She was handpicked to open for the Grammy award-winning Indigo Girls tour and has received acclaim from multi-platinum artists such as Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton. Natalie was named a ‘Hot 100 Live Artist’ in Music Connection Magazine, and her music is featured in several Netflix shows and on the soundtrack of a feature film. Natalie’s song 'Ready to Roll' won 'BEST ORIGINAL SONG' at the Austin Under the Stars Film Festival. Richard Branson even wrote a series of articles about her music and journey since their magical encounter. Having landed a record deal, Natalie’s debut album is set for release, with her first single, ‘A Place Called Home’ coming out this summer on DVG Records. For this Scottish firebrand, life is an adventure, and she invites you along for the ride!

Lyrics
When you were a baby, the joy never varied
It was always there inside
Then you grew a bit older, your mum would still hold you
And tell you it's all alright
Don't you know, that kid is you
Don't forget, that kid's still you
When you were a kid, you had a wonder
Playing with cars, watching 'Back to the Future'
Building with Lego, make believing
And you had a freedom
When you were a kid, you were a canon
You didn't hold back, you were fearless and firing
All of the magic that you never hid
Don't forget that you're still that kid
When you were a child, fearless and wild
You were always out climbing the trees
You'd cycle with friends till the daylight would end
Not afraid to play make believe
Don't you know, that kid is you
Don't forget, that kid's still you
When you were a kid, you had a wonder
Playing with cars, watching 'Back to the Future'
Building with Lego, make believing
And you had a freedom
When you were a kid, you were a canon
You didn't hold back, you were fearless and firing
All of the magic that you never hid
Don't forget, you're still that kid
You're still that kid
So play the game
Take the chance
Make the mess
Do the dance
Adventure your way through life like a story
Cause it's your adventure, yeah, it is your story
You are that kid, you are a canon
Don't hold back, be fearless and firing
All of the magic that you hid
Don't forget, that you're still that kid
