If you wanted to lie down in the grass, in the sun, close your eyes and escape with some music ... we found the perfect soundtrack! "Radio Flyer" is the perfect song for it!

Michael Shofi & Jack Shields pulled off the perfect combo: joyful energy, luminous melody, divine vocal harmonies, poetry in the lyrics, everything we love is here.

Michael lives in Jersey City and Jack in Los Angeles. This did not prevent them from collaborating on this little gem, which combines a rather nice retro side and a rare freshness.

A track that is built minute after minute until it becomes epic, with a huge climax as we like it! After the rather dark 18 months that we have just lived, such an uplifting anthem is welcome.

We liked the contrast between the melancholy of the lyrics and the playful side of the melody. Striking!

Well done gentlemen, you have given us the thrill.

Lyrics

Radio Flyer

Quick on my feet

I ran down the driveway

And out in the street

Back to the others,

They're shouting for me

Dreaming comes easy,

But nothing comes free.

Free...

Radio Flyer, you're falling apart

Your red paint is peeling,

Your heart's in the yard

And I can't remember

The way that it starts

It's so hard to reckon,

It's so hard to part.

Radio Flyer, get back on the street

Why are you tired? There's so much to see

In the end all you got is some worn memories

In the end all you got is some worn memories.

(Memories)...

My

Memory's falling,

But I ain't losing sight

I'm growing old, but I'm growing dumb

My hand's on the trigger, but I lost the gun

I'm young in my mind, but slow in my stride

Still I don't need no one to steady my eyes

(I'm alive!) In the driveway where we used to ride I'm alive

'Till the morning I wake and I find it's a dream

That I've seen

Before.

Radio Flyer

Radio...
