What a pleasure to return to Sweden. Yes, Sweden again. We can't help it if they have lots of talented artists! This is Kolonien, a 4-piece pop-folk band. If you like Mumford & Sons or Of Monsters and Men, Kolonien is a good compromise.
"Time Will Tell" is an indie-folk gem, and you won't find many tracks that have this level of quality anymore these days. With a message that can be interpreted in many ways, the song is a hymn to nature. At least, that is immediately what we perceived when we listened to it for the first time. And this is the reason why you'll find it under the "Lovely Nature" column.
Is it too late to save the planet? Not really. But if no one cares, that's where the danger comes. We often hear the same questions: "Whose fault is it? Did the previous generation consume too many resources?" Hence the first line of the song, even before the intro begins: "They’re pointing my way".
Rather than blaming each other between generations, it would be better to act together. Here is, roughly, the message carried by the band.
With a magnificent music video, very professional, Kolonien sets the bar very high with wonderful vocal harmonies and a more than catchy melody.
We loved every part of the song. From the incredible hook of the chorus to the incredible guitar picking, everything is worked to perfection. And the violin solo on the bridge, followed by incredible vocal harmonies, brings a real plus. Like a second birth to the song. Before a final chorus that leaves you speechless.
And you? What do you think?
Added to our Main Spotify Playlist, our "Lovely Nature" playlist, and played daily on Indie Music Center's Radio.

Lyrics
They’re pointing my way
I wake up like I’ve always done
I drink my coffee a day on the run
Pulling out money from threads that I’ve spun
Follow in the patterns of my mothers and fathers before
I run the streets that I know too well, oh
Falling apart, I fell.
This sure look like a different place,
I see no trees, see no flowers, no bees, no
All I see is what we left behind running blind
Shallow seas on the rise
The time will come when the oceans rise
The time will come when the children cry out, “Who did this”?
Will I look in their eyes and say?
It was me, point the gun my way
They’re pointing my way
Don’t know how to wake up
Take my coat on and straightened my back, ‘cause
It might not be my life down the line
Is it true when they say there’s no time? No.
You might think we’re a lifetime apart
It might just be that I’m slow in the start
Time is now, want to make it across
Time is now, see the dust, we do not stand alone
And the slow one will later be fast
The first one will later be last
Pointing my way
They’re pointing my way
Let me try it, meet me there
Help me to find the caves we’ve built
Tell me to reach that shore
Leave me to burn
And I will soon be coming your way
Oh, oh, savour the run
Oh, oh, savour the run
I’m coming your way
