This is the third IMC feature for talented French artist Jeff Mailfert! He chose a different strategy from other artists for this release: the stunning music video was released on June 6, and the single was released today on all streaming platforms. It is a profitable strategy since the music video already has more than 3K plays.

“Waiting For the Sun” is an indie-folk ballad that will accompany your lonely days, where nothing is going well, and where you wait for better days. Because that is the subject of this very melancholy song. But far beyond a song, with the music video directed by Maya V. a true epic of more than 5 minutes awaits you, accompanied by sublime images shot in Iceland in sumptuous landscapes. Yes, if you didn't know Jeff Mailfert before, see that he is a great traveler. Besides, I think he would be depressed if he could no longer travel. He's an authentic artist, very connected to nature (he lives in a cabin in the woods and travels the world in a van), whom I had the pleasure of interviewing in French recently for my podcast "Quand la musique étonne". I really like his personality, very anchored in a unique, very organic musical universe, and this new single really ticks all the boxes. This is probably Jeff Mailfert's most accomplished track, with powerful drums (Alexandre Wajzer), captivating bass (Adam Derez), electric guitar (Josh Aldrich), strings and synths (Alexandre Delmas), backgrounds impressive vocals (Charlotte Bedhouche, Pileos and Glenn Arzel) and the thrill is easily triggered in the final part of the song.

Real teamwork produces a breathtaking result. The team has been asked to respect nature while shooting the video in this awesome country and that's what they did. This allows us to give a nod to Sven Ross and his song which evokes climate change, also released today.

Jeff Mailfert grows and evolves in a world that moves too fast, but the quality of his work grows with him and impresses us once again. “Waiting For the Sun” is announced as the first single from his debut album, which we impatiently await to travel with him on lost roads that lead to only one place: inner peace.
