Galapaghost est le projet solo de Casey Chandler, qui nous vient de Woodstock.

Il a déjà sorti 3 albums, dont deux chez un label italien, et un album auto-produit en 2016 qui a déjà reçu plus de 1,5 million de stream sur Spotify!

Récemment, il a bouclé son 4ème album intitulé "Pulse". Il l'a enregistré en Italie, et sera disponible le 12 janvier prochain.

"Jim Beam" est le deuxième single de ce nouvel album, à propos duquel Casey s'est confié à Music For Your Heart.

"J'ai écrit cette chanson assez rapidement. En un après-midi, la partie guitare et toutes les voix, ce qui est généralement la façon dont toutes mes chansons sont écrites. En un jour. Donc, après avoir enregistré la guitare et les voix, j'ai vraiment voulu créer une chanson avec beaucoup de couches pour créer une ambiance très atmosphérique et euphorique. Je voulais créer une ambiance musicale pour cet état de bonheur d'être ivre d'amour avec quelqu'un. Le genre de flottement que vous ressentez en étant amoureux. Parce qu'être amoureux est une sorte de drogue, n'est-ce pas? Vous pouvez devenir accro comme vous pouvez le devenir aussi avec une bouteille de Jim Beam. Cela peut rendre une personne complètement irrationnelle et la faire tel qu'elle ne ferait jamais normalement. Lorsque vous êtes amoureux, surtout au début, vous voyez tout différemment et parfois vous ne pouvez pas penser directement. Le poids du monde ne semble plus si lourd."

Voila pourquoi Music For Your Heart est là. Parce qu'il y a derrière chaque artiste un être humain, et derrière chaque chanson une histoire.

Ce qu'on a vraiment aimé, c'est justement cette voix si particulière, qui nous emmène dans son propre univers, et la présence du piano.

Le piano, dans une chanson, ça peut faire toute la différence. D'autant plus quand les notes sont bien placées.

Il y a dans cette chanson une atmosphère particulière. C'est un univers d'incertitude, mais auquel on s'attache facilement.

Un vrai bonheur à écouter. Un seul défaut: c'est trop court.

"Jim Beam" is the second single of this new album. Casey told us a little about this song, and the story behind that track.

"I wrote the song quite quickly. I pretty much had the whole song written in one afternoon, the guitar part and all of the vocals, which is typically how all of my songs are written. In one day. So after recording the guitar and vocal parts I really wanted to create a song with many layers to create a very atmospheric and euphoric vibe. I wanted to create a musical feel for that blissful state of being drunk in love with somebody. The sort of floating in and out of consciousness feeling that you get when you're in love. Because being in love is kind of a drug isn't it? You can get addicted to it just like you can with a bottle of Jim Beam. It can make a person completely irrational and act in ways they never normally would. When you're in love, especially in the beginning, you see everything differently and sometimes you literally can't think straight. The weight of the world doesn't seem so heavy."

That's why Music For Your Heart is here. Because a human being behind each artist, and a story behind each song.

What we really liked was this very particular voice, which takes us into its own world, and the presence of the piano.

The piano, in a song, can make all the difference. Especially when the notes are well placed.

In this song, there's a particular atmosphere. It is a world of uncertainty, but we're easily attached to it.

A real pleasure to listen to. Only one thing is wrong: it's too short.
