Bon Air - Sauvage

October 25, 2019

Good news! The French duo Bon Air has just released their new music video, "Sauvage". A new song that the band has been playing for a few years now, and which has the particularity of being in French, a first time for the band. We met Bon Air for the first time in February 2016 when they were opening for Fréro Delavega (another French duo). And it was a crush. Formerly known under the name of "The Mellow", the duo composed of Gaëtane and Guillaume immediately won us over. And their first two EPs were playing on repeat in the car on the way back home ... and the weeks that followed. We found them back in June 2017, in Bordeaux, South-West France, for the last concert of Fréro Delavega, in front of 25,000 people. And they set it on fire, with their folk melodies and boundless energy. Their voices mingle in a perfect symbiosis, with an obvious complicity, both on the studio versions and on stage. These guys have thousands miles behind them, and thousands of stories in their heads, which they tell us in music. We had the pleasure of seeing them a third time live, in La Rochelle in 2017. They told us after the show that they were working on an album project, notably with some French tracks. And they always had so much passion and energy, offering us for the first time live a song in French ... "Sauvage". All the potential to become a hit. They dropped the music video yesterday, very faithful to the universe of the song. A very beautiful achievement, in a dream setting, and the magic continues to operate. Remember the name "Bon Air". Because this song could well mark their takeoff all over Europe. And we would be very happy for them. They just lack the holy grail: to be played on the radio. And if that happens, the ascension may be beautiful.
