What could be better than starting the weekend with a pretty folk ballad?

Austin Ward, a young LA-based artist, releases "Run the Other Way" today.

With a warm voice, delicately placed on his guitar, Austin charmed us from the first seconds.

And as soon as he started to sing. Also at ease in the treble, his particular voice gives us confidence.

As Austin says, "it's an ode to the person you turn to when you need saving from yourself.

In a time where we're all living a soberingly isolated existence, far from friends and loved ones, this song serves as a reminder to cherish even the smallest moments of human intimacy and connection".

And we can tell that we found a special connection with this song.

Carefully produced, with haunting whistles on the final part, we totally got involved in another world.

As if we've found the perfect soundtrack to listen to in an infinite landscape, watching the sunset, with no one around.

A really pleasant listening experience that makes us want to hear more in the future from this young and talented artist.

Austin is like a rough diamond. And he still has a lot to offer.

No worries, you'll see him again on the IMC, for sure.
