Découvrons ensemble, aujourd'hui, le nouveau single d'Ari Herstand. Intitulé "Cabarete", le morceau est une invitation au voyage et à la détente. Mais pourquoi ce titre? Cabarete, comme nous le précise l'artiste lui-même, est située en République Dominicaine, et est le paradis des Kite-surfeurs. Mais la ville est malheureusement dominée par la prostitution, et l'artiste, qui y a séjourné pendant deux semaines, a été confronté à la violence qui y règne, mais aussi à la culture artistique qui règne à Cabarete, notamment la peinture. Deux impressions bien opposés, le plaisir de découvrir, et en même temps la déception, cohabitent alors dans un cadre de vie semblant pourtant idyllique. Après le voyage, Ari a pris sa plume pour écrire cette chanson, et nous donner son impression sur la ville aux deux facettes. Gâté par un don pour l'écriture, l'artiste s'essaye pour la première fois en deux ans à la chanson. Et c'est une réussite. Le chant est maîtrisé à la perfection, la voix est vraiment posée. Pour les étrangers que nous sommes, c'est très bien articulé (eh oui, la compréhension, c'est quand-même important). Musicalement, quel délice! La mélodie est tout simplement magnifique, et nous projette très facilement dans le décor paradisiaque (à priori) de Cabarete. Let's discover together, today, Ari Herstand's new single. Entitled "Cabarete", the track is an invitation to travel and relax. But why this title? Cabarete, as the artist himself says, is located in the Dominican Republic, and is a paradise for kitesurfers. But the city is unfortunately dominated by prostitution, and the artist, who stayed there for two weeks, was confronted with the violence that prevails, but also to the artistic culture that reigns in Cabarete, including painting. Two opposing impressions, the pleasure of discovering, and at the same time the disappointment, coexist in an apparently idyllic living environment.
After the trip, Ari took his pen to write this song, and give us his impression on the two-sided city. With his gift for writing, the artist express himself with a song for the first time in two years. And it's a success.
The singing is mastered to perfection, the voice is really good. For the frogs we are, it's very well spelled (yes, pronounciation and understanding of the lyrics are really important, above all when it's not your natural language). Musically, what a delight! The melody is simply beautiful, and we project very easily in the (false?) paradise setting of Cabarete. On a background of melancholy, the music sticks very well to the harsh reality of the text.
