Carnival Kid - We Were The Shadows

It's only 3 weeks after the release of the excellent track "We Used To Shout At You" that Carnival Kid seduced us, again, with "We Were The Shadows".

A resolutely rock track with a frenzied rhythm, with a chorus that will stay in your head.

Last time, we talked about the vocal power of Kings of Leon, and honestly, we had the same impression on this new track.

A well-written text, both unifying and nostalgic, that the artist wrote a bit like a love letter to his hometown.

The song reminds us that "even in the most somber places, fantastic adventures are possible" as Carnival Kid says.

Even though he describes this place as dark one, we can say that the luminous melody contrasts with the somewhat dark side described in the song.

With a vocal prowess still very high placed, Carnival Kid proves once again that he succeeded in creating his own musical universe, and especially a strong vocal identity.

Kind of like a signature. A real pleasure to listen to him again.
